Elissa Reisman

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Elissa’s passion for remote travel started early in her life. In high school Elissa spent 10 months circumnavigating the globe on a tall ship while attending school. This opportunity carved out her desire for experiencing the different adventures the world has to offer. Elissa has been a competitive equestrian throughout her life and after completing her Bachelors of Science Honors degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Guelph, she took the opportunity to pursue equestrian passion full time. While competing at the top level of the sport Elissa got to spend time traveling all over North America and Europe, furthering her love of travel even more.

Following her first South African safari with her husband in 2013, Elissa’s fascination with Africa blossomed. Since that initial trip, Elissa has travelled all over Africa and knew she wanted to somehow incorporate her love of safaris and other remote destinations into her professional life. Elissa joined Craft Travel in 2023 as a Travel Designer, bringing her unique, once in a lifetime experiences to help plan epic experiences for Craft Travelers. Elissa will focus on Africa, Asia and the Pacific, planning seamless journeys throughout the world's greatest adventure destinations, as well as destinations closer to home like Hawaii and the American West. As Craft's first Canada-based employee, she will spearhead Craft Travel’s product development within the Canadian wilderness.
